Pastor Mark Caldwell comes as the senior pastor with rich United Methodist roots. Growing up in Lakeland, Florida, he was involved with his church choirs and youth groups where he not only came to know Christ but received a call to ordained ministry. In pursuit of this call, he received degrees from Florida Southern College and Duke University.
Three of his summers as a college student were spent working as a Team Member at the United Methodist youth camp in Leesburg. These experiences gave him the opportunity to learn how to play guitar but also exposed him to a variety of preaching styles which he employs in his own preaching. He and his wife Tiffany have been married for thirteen years and have twin sons who keep many of our congregation members on their toes—literally!
Pastor Ryan Hall has been serving as our Associate Pastor since July, 2008. Ryan was born in Green Cove Springs, Florida, and went to college at UF in Gainesville. It was during these years of wandering that God spoke to his heart and convinced him of a call to ministry. Since that time Ryan has devoted his work to helping people accept and explore what it means to be free in Christ.
Ryan studied at Asbury Theological Seminary in Orlando where he married his college sweetheart, Jessamyn, in 2003. Together they believe that freedom in Christ should be evident in the joy you radiate, even in the darkest of circumstances.
Ryan's current favorite scripture passage is Psalm 40:1, "I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry."
