The FUMC Preschool ministry is a fully accredited program for children 6 weeks to 4 years of age providing a safe and convenient facility for parents who work in the downtown area. We also provide an excellent after-school program for elementary school children which includes pick-up from their school, supervised homework and a light snack.

The 8:30am service is a more intimate offering with beautiful, yet scaled back music. The 11:00am service is our larger gathering that includes our adult choirs and a weekly ensemble of instrumentalists that accentuate the organ, piano and choirs. Our youthful pastors and their messages complete the equation. Childcare is available for both services. People worship in a variety of dress ranging from suits and ties to shorts and sandals. Dress as you please! Communion is offered on the first Sunday of the month. As United Methodists, we celebrate an open Communion table. Any and all are welcome to partake. At 11:00 we offer a children's message and KidsWorship. Children are invited to a special lesson which complements the morning sermon.
Join us on Sundays for worship at Fort Lauderdale First United Methodist church at 8:30am and 11:00am and Sunday School for all ages at 10:00am. We offer two regular Sunday worship services at 8:30am and 11:00am in our sanctuary. Our services are a wonderful blend of traditional worship in a beautiful setting coupled with a diverse and vibrant mix that is representative of South Florida.
